Hormone Replacement Therapy

Low testosterone is the reason for many of the aggravating symptoms men experience as they age, but the specialists at Synergy Medical Centers can effectively diagnose and treat low testosterone to help restore your quality of life. Recent research shows that preserving healthy levels of testosterone plays a large role in helping you maintain overall well-being.

Initial Exam

When you decide to accept the service recommendation set forth by your consultant, you will be given a medical exam by one of our highly trained physicians. They will ensure that you are fit for treatment based on your vitals, past medical history and other factors. The doctor may also request other diagnostic testing.

Hormone Deficiency Test

Our providers will draw a small amount of blood in order for the lab to test for any hormonal deficiency or imbalance. Not every sample that is sent to the lab will always come back as a positive for hormonal deficiency. If that is the case, our providers will let you know about other options. If there is an abnormality found, you may proceed to bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

Customized Supplements

Most patients are prescribed very helpful supplements that can help your body naturally balance your hormones along with the replacement therapy. If your blood work comes back negative for hormone deficiency, you may still opt for these natural supplements to help regulate your levels and prevent future issues.

Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement

Your blood work will indicate, if any, which hormones your body is lacking in. Most women have an imbalance with Estrogen and/or Progesterone; men are mostly deficient in testosterone. Once you are deemed a candidate for Hormone Replacement Therapy, there are different options for medication delivery: creams, pellets or injections. Our trained physicians will work with you to determine the best course of treatment.

Quarterly Checkup

In order to ensure that the medication is working properly, you will be required to have a check up with our providers once every three months. Our providers will then evaluate your progress to make sure the program is working effectively for you and make any changes if necessary.
